Presented at the DC Research Café Special Edition (April 29, 2021).
With the support of the HiPE committee, the event consisted of a round-table discussion with the current Douglas Student Research Ambassadors discussing their experiences and insights engaging in student research at Douglas College.
Host Colleen Pawlychka asked three questions: 1) What are three of your primary accomplishments as a Student Research Ambassador over this term or the past year? 2) Can you please share a Rose, a Thorn, and a Bud from your SRA experience? 3) What did you learn through your work and experience as an SRA?
Student Ambassadors described their positive experiences and successes (roses), their challenges and struggles (thorns), and new ideas that evolved with the role and your faculty area (buds).
