Dr. Jennifer Wakeling graduated from the University of Cambridge (UK) in 1992 (BA,Hons.), from the Cambridge University Veterinary School in 1995 (VetMB) and completed her PhD at the Royal Veterinary College (London, UK) in 2008. She has worked in small animal veterinary practices in the UK (1995-1999), Calgary (2000-2003) and the Lower Mainland (2008- present) and currently teaches in the Douglas College Veterinary Technology program in Coquitlam. She has an interest in feline thyroid disease and recently collaborated with Dr Teresa Hall at North West Nuclear Medicine on a research project looking at treatment-induced hypothyroidism following I-131 treatment of cats for hyperthyroidism.
